Yes, she went back as soon as her AP came in and I could make a reservation. She was fine for a few months after she got back, but now anything that reminds her of Ukraine causes no end to nastalgia. Also, her BFF here just went back to Kherson for 10 weeks! Life looks black All will be well when SHE is the one getting ready to leave, and balloon-headed BFF is on the receiving end

She went to the dentist and had her annual checkup and stocked up on contact lenses yesterday. She will be going to Moscow for a week and some of her friends from here are there now also on vacation. She had a hard time with the time change for the first time in her travels (it never seems to bother me much, except the first day when I come back)

Vika's turn will come.

It is interesting that it seems each time she misses her home here more than the last time and notes some good points. She has said that life in the US "has many good points and only a few bad ones" I think moving to the city took care of most of the bad ones.

Yesterday she correctly concluded that our every day silverware was dangerously rusty. WallMart stuff I bought before she got here - way before. I would have just thrown out one rusty piece at a time but she tossed it all and shopped around for something suitable, and a new outfit, and a new bathing suit (vavavoom ).

There was a time in America when it was commonplace to find Playboy magazines sitting proudly next to the man of the house's easy chair...along with "Guns and Ammo" and "Field and Stream." My first wife actually got me a subscription to Playboy as a gift early in our marriage. Your wife can't handle Victoria's Secret catalogs! If I were you, I'd stock up on some Playboys and other such material and put them in a magazine rack next to your favorite chair.

For the life of me I just can't believe someone when they say they don't check out other women because their woman is "good enough for them." While I admire them for trying (and even buying their own BS) I just can't accept it.

And here's why. You said you prefer Shooting Times. OK. Got it. Now, you have a gorgeous wife who gets VS catalogs yet you can't look through them and admire the contents because you have a "gorgeous" model at home. Well, you have a whole bunch of guns too yet you keep looking at gun magazines. Aren't your guns "gorgeous" too?

While I realize a man can't own just one gun, I simply do not buy that he doesn't look at other women because his is already "good enough." Like the insatiable need to still "see what's out there" when it comes to firearms - be that for simply admiring their beauty or learning of new and cutting edge techniques, etc. - how can there be no need to "see what's out there" with women?

I realize this is personal and it's your business, but as someone who just a few days ago was talking about Danica Patrick and Salma Hayek, it seems odd to me that what you have at home is so great you "don't" even look at anything else. To me, it sounds more like you "can't" look at anything else.

Not needing Playboy and saying I never look at anything else is confusing two different things. I admire beautiful women it is true. I do not need Playboy magazine for that. I subscribe to Shooting Times to read the articles, not to offend my own guns by looking at photos of other guns.

But truly, looking at other women is such a small desire or temptation that I would never bother to spend the time or money on a magazine subscription. There is not a woman in Playboy worth the cover price or worth the effort to fill out the subscription card, in my opinion. I do not spend money to look at Danica Patrick or Salma Hayek and I consider neither to be better than what I have at home. Put a photo of Salma Hayek on a women's magazine cover and then stick it in the checkout line at the grocery store and I will look at it while I wait in line. Put Shooting Times next to it and I will look at the gun instead. Danica Patrick is a better driver than Alla, but she is 3 clicks below Alla in a bikini. Sorry. I could be biased, it is true. But I am not.

Guns, on the other hand, you can have as a many of those as you want. I try to get a new one every few months. Not that I get bored of them, no, not at all, but there are still so many needs I have for guns and so many "niches" to fill. I have never been one to buy into the "all-around gun" concept. Horror. Firearms designs change all the time, women do not. There is nothing "cutting edge" to keep up with in women Slim, evolution is a pretty slow process. The girls in Playboy now look the same as the ones in 1953, any improvement has been in cameras and film and maybe airbrush techniques. The women are the same.

I am a functioning male with normal levels of hormones, but I am well satisfied and looking at anything else is just very low on my list of things to do.

One has to look long and hard to find a more attractive woman than Alla (IMHO and that is all that matters since we are discussing who I look at) so what would be the point of me spending money to look at women less attractive than I see everyday at home? What is the sense? I guess I am in the same category as Mart. "Meh...so what?"
