My fiance lived in Sudan for a short time and needs to get a police report from them. I tried calling the consulate office here in the united states and they were unhelpful. I called nvc and they said if he needs one and cannot get one thru the embassy he will have to travel to Sudan just to get it. Does anyone know how to get this report without traveling back to Sudan?

Police reports are not available from Sudan. The above is the same site a Consular officer or NVC would reference to confirm same.

You are wrong. Back in 2008 I have to do the same thing for my wife is some trick to it

If you know any one in Sudan will make the process so easy for the fee of $40 and is so simple.

I did look at that site and it said they were not available. If he can have someone in Sudan do it for him what do they need to do, and I also seen you can order a report off the internet. Its expensive but if they will accept it then it will be worth it.

What consulate office did you call in the USA... no such thing...

Did you point out to NVC that according to there own website they indicate that PC's from Sudan are not available?

You profile indicates K-1, if so, then why are you conversing with NVC on this matter? It is a matter for the consulate abroad that the K-1 will interview at... NOT NVC

I called the Sudan Embassy in New York and in Washington DC, the woman in Washington DC told me I had to speak to the consulate and transferred me over to them. I was then told that I had to speak to an officer and she was did not know if they could provide a report. When she transferred me to the officer and I began explaining what I needed, he asked if I was Sudanese and when I said no he hung up on me.

No I did not tell NVC about what their website said because when I called I did not see this information. I am doing k-1 and my fiance is trying to get all of his docuements in order, I called NVC only to ask for their help based on what I was told from the Sudan embassy and NVC told me if he couldn't obtain the report from the embassy he would have to travel to Sudan to get it.

The report is not available. Consular officers will be able to confirm this and waive the requirement.
