I know that I am not the only person that's still waiting on VSC. I am looking at people that has filed in March in now have they NOA2.. What is really going on? Can anyone tell me?

2005---We met by friend/Church member that was living in Nigeria

2006---We begin to talk about getting married

2007---I was going to met him face to face, but hurt my back couldn't walk..

2009---Was able to see each for the first time.. I got my engagement ring (WOW).. :wow:

2010-01-22 mailed I129f

2010-01-26 got NOA1

2010-05-12 called to see why no NOA2, I was told that our case is not being processed yet!!!!! No notes in the computer

other then the mailing of the NOA1!!!!!!! :angry:

2010-05-18 called SERVICE CENTER again to see what's going on with our case.. NOT BEING PROCESSED YET I WAS TOLD AGAIN!!!

2010-06-16 Got notice that NOA2 was approved 141 days after NOA1. We got our approval on Ossy's Birthday.. Happy birthday honey, I love you!!!!

2010-06-21 got NOA2 in hand

2010-06-22 called NVC to see if papers was there, but was told that my DOB was not right in the system. Just mailed a letter along with a copy of my birth certificate asking to change my DOB.. Way to go VCS..

2010-06-22 NVC received the case

2010-06-23 Case sent to Embassy in Barbados

2010-06-28 Embassy received our case

2010-08-09 Interview Administrative Review

2010-11-15 Approved for Visa (I was on the mission to make sure the INTERVIEWER that we had never interviewed anyone else and I did it).. Know that you have right and don't let the interviewer cross the line..

2010-12-10 Visa and Passport in hand!!! Thank God!!!

2010-12-19 Ossy will enter the States!!

As much as we understand your anguish and helplessness on being picked on by VSC, this process just does not have any rhyme or reason to it.Some people have to wait longer for it either for more background checks or God knows what,while some have a luckier stint with the service centers.I know of a few people from as far back as August 2009 still waiting and there could be more.

You cannot do much before the 5 month time-frame is up.After that you could initiate an enquiry or get your congressman involved.

Good Luck and hope your approval comes anyday now!

2010-10-08 : Contacted local Congress Representative's office, asked for help expediting EAD.
2010-10-12 : Received forwarded email from USCIS through Congress representative's office - AOS "interview ready" and "placed in queue at District Office", EAD & AP approved

Also waiting on the NOA2, granted we got an RFE a while ago but it's been over a week since they began processing again so we're feeling hopeful.. best of luck to all of us Jan filers still in the dark. We'll make it through eventually.

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

We are also still waiting. I have an upgrade on 2/26/10 from where I submitted an address change, but nothing since that. Do they not still do the "touch" thing when they handle a case? If this is true, I haven't even been moved from off the shelf shine I changed my address. Do they work on these things w/o letting us know? Thanks

Also waiting on the NOA2, granted we got an RFE a while ago but it's been over a week since they began processing again so we're feeling hopeful.. best of luck to all of us Jan filers still in the dark. We'll make it through eventually.

Our NOA1 was two days after yours. When I saw our time slip from an expected 71 days to 90ish, it was very hard! Hang in there! Maybe call or send an email, and ask for the current status.

Now, we are in NVC limbo...Our letter was dated 5/1, but our number is still not in their system!

Our NOA1 was two days after yours. When I saw our time slip from an expected 71 days to 90ish, it was very hard! Hang in there! Maybe call or send an email, and ask for the current status.

Well, maybe so, but I hit the website last night, as I always do, only to find out that I had been locked out. Evidently the systems down, or at least that's the answer I got when i call them tnis morning. Maybe today it'll be back up.
