Immigration did not collect the package

My just arrived and the immigration officer did not look at her package from the Consulate. She tried to tell them she had the package in her computer bag but the officer said she was done and called the next person in line. She came in through LA and flew to Orlando where I met her. I'm not exactly sure where to start with this problem. Any ideas or phone numbers would be appreciated.

Contact the CBP Deferred Inspection Office at the local International Airport, and make an appointment for both of you to go in. Bring the packet, and the ticket stubs from the flight, give the packet to them, and make sure you get a proper I-94 before you leave, if you don't have one already. Don't let them charge you anything for this - it's their mistake, not yours.

HeatDeath had excellent advice. Also you could make an infopass appointment to see what needs to be done if the CBP doesn't answer your quesitons.

Good luck

Ok, I'm sure they are not open until Monday so I'll call first thing Monday morning.

That will work. We had exactly the same problem and the CBP Station Supervisor took care of it for us.

ChinaQuest - agreed - get to CBP secondary inspection -

but -

she won't need any I-94 - is CR-1/IR-1 visa - review the stamp gotten at POE, just in case is any problem.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Yes, the appropriate stamp is the temporary green card, so no I-94 but without the package, neither the Green Card of SS Card will get generated.
