So I filed the "perfect" :rofl: I-129F petition and was approved in 48 days :thumbs:, I already have the hard copy of the NOA2 and the case# from the NVC. But now I am having doubts about the next step in this process, and what is confusing me is the timelines and flowcharts here. I am seeing lots of peoples timelines and the packet seems to leave for their consulate withing a week. However when I read the flowcharts i see things getting sent to both the petitioner as well as the beneficiary for payments and such before the packets are sent out.

my guess is I am seeing things for both the already married people and the fiancee visa people.

am I right about that??

October 27, 2010 - Received Biometric Scheduled ( dated 19.Nov.2010)

November 19, 2010 - Biometric Schedule done

December 09,2011 - Interview Notice Received - schedule on January 20, 2011

December 22,2010 - EAD Approved

December 23,2010 - AP Approved

December 30,2010 - AP Received

December 31,2010 - EAD Card Received

January 20,2011 - interview - Approved - (Exactly my 5 months I landed in US)

January 29,2011 - Green Card Received - (Exactly 1 year that we got engaged)

Only CR/IR have any work and NVC stage. For K Visas they assign an Embassy Case number and forward the packet on to the Embassy.


Must have info for bringing your Philippine wife/fiancee's child to the US

Next step will be the consulate notifying the beneficary on what to do next (packet 3).

At this stage the only remaining fees for us (Vietnam) were for the medical exam and the visa fee both paid for by the beneficiary (well not really - I was there and I paid for them).

From the time we received the NOA2 until the time she received packet three instructions was about 4 weeks.

3/31/2010 MARRIED !!!

11/20/2010 Filed I-485

12/23/2010 Biometrics (Buffalo, NY)

12/31/2010 I-485 Transfered to CSC

1/7/2013 Mailed I-751 package

1/14/2013 I-751 NOA (VSC)

2/07/2013 Biometrics (Buffalo, NY)

If you have the NVC Casefile # , you can start calling DOS Hotline (# in my profile) and check case status.

Specifically for a K-1 - there's more fees AT THE EMBASSY, and more paperwork AT THE EMBASSY.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Removal of conditions Journey

16 March 2012 Sent I-751 package from Aviano AB, Italy.

29 March 2012 Received everything back...wrong fee. thought we didn't have to pay biometrics since we were sending fingerprint cards and passport photos.

30 March 2012 Sent everything out again from Aviano AB, Italy.

10 April 2012 Check cashed

17 April 2012 Received NOA1 dated 6 April.

06 Dec 2012 Received 10 yr green card. Letter said it was approved 28 November 2012.
