In the meantime, i've spoken to my congressman who has asked for the case number, but thats as far as any help ive gotten so far.

Im active duty military, does anyone know if theres a card i can play with that?

Turkey changed our interview date also - not much you can do about it. (Obama visited there, and they basically shut down visas for a month or so, so everything was push backed).

Military - check here , they may expedite your processing -

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

I think Bobby was referring to a later date at the Turkish Embassy due to Obama's visit.

The six months waiting time might be part of the process to determine if this is a valid or real relationship, kind of like adding a test before the interview.

Make sure to keep copies of correspondence such as email or chat logs. Also keep your phone bills if you do call her. Try very hard to make additional visits and keep all the documents and evidence of those visits. I am not saying it but it seems to be widely posted that some of the Embassies in that part of the world are very difficult to work with and see a lot of visa fraud. Kenya, Nigeria, etc...

Are you kidding me? Ghana has 6 months waiting for interviews? OMG this is going to be a long wait. I guess if you love someone, it doesnt matter the time. Wait until I tell my future hubby. I guess my trip will be later then sooner. Thanks for the info. Good luck ManTra. We all need it. And yes Obama did visit Ghana last year in May.

Yes, I know, I searched for that info but Bobby did write, "Turkey changed our interview date also - not much you can do about it. (Obama visited there, and they basically ..."

So from the phrase "Turkey changed our interview date..." I drew the logical conclusion that Bobby was referring to Turkey, not Ghana for the delay or change in interview date.

Yep the embassy in Ghana is beginning to act like gods, but its all good tho, @ Dina-Rich..i am going for a K1, I was approved late Feb, the packet got there sometime in March and now this..

@fvadiz...you are welcome...

i was initially taken aback by it, but i've snapped out of it now and thinking more clearly like I'm supposed to..will try to work all available options...

My main question is has anyone from any country been able to reschedule to an earlier date? and how did they go about it?

Sorry to hear about that.

Yes, several people have been able to get their interview dates moved up by simply sending an e-mail /calling the embassy to request it. It doesn't always work, but I can't imagine it would hurt, either.

The people In the Ghana embassy think they are God. I have been thrown out of there twice for throwing fits, my husband was denied hi cr1 visa. Especially the second in charge head consulate guy. They work so slow and have no care in the world. Something needs to be done, more people need to constantly write there Senators!

You have moved pretty fast when I look at your timeline for Ghana.

I guess ours wont be until January sometime. Praise the Lord and bless us with patience. Maybe all of us with Ghanaian Petitions should write a petition against the way they are handling the interveiw dates. Good luck everyone :(
