I pick my passport with visa yesterday hurrayyyy

Yeah Yeah yeah!!!!!

Tat- How did your hubby get his SSN? Did he get a Driver's License yet? We've gone to the office 2 times and they haven't gotten any SSN for him or ANY information, and nothing in the mail yet....We are debating if he should fill out a new application.

Any forum you girls are hanging out in that applies to Team NVC? Anyone start a ROC forum for 5/2012-ish? :wow: :wow:

Hey Nat! In our Visa application we asked for a SSN to be assigned. We haven't heard anything since he got here 3 weeks ago. So today I am thinking we'll go down and he can do new paperwork and apply for one. Is the green card dependent on getting the SSN first or is the green card in processing already?

Hi dear!

SSN has nothing to do with GC I think. I also put my number on the DS230 asking for update but I haven't received anything yet, so I went to the office and applied for modification.

Some people put on the DS230 and also go to the office and end up receiving 2 cards, so I think there is no harm done on going there and apply again.

Let me know if you have any doubts and keep me posted if you go there today ;)

I'm just getting so frustrated. No welcome letter. No SSN. No GC.

USCIS is of no help. Neither is O'Hare CBP.

As of day#34 since POE, card production has not been ordered.

I'm going to wait for another 2 weeks and then schedule an INFOPASS.

Gina--if it's been 2 weeks since POE and he hasn't received his SS card in the mail yet, go down to the local office with his passport, visa, alien # and marriage certificate.

For those about to POE -- make sure you ask the IO if you've been updated in the SAVE system when crossing over.

Nothing in my mail box either. It's so annoying... its seems everyone that POEd in end of May - early June haven't received anything yet.

Godddd why us again?????????? After all delays with snowstorms, payment page broken and all that BS we went through we are still NOT DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now they decided to upgrade the GC for a new card!! arghhhhhhh

Just send me something for God's sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
