Hello to all,

For the last 3 years(07,08,09) I filed my tax returns with H&R Block. They E-filed my returns for me. I have all copies of my 1040, W-2, 1099 and supporting documents that I will send to NVC. However, the 1040 is not signed as it says "COPY ONLY" and at the signature place it says "FOR INFORMATION ONLY,, DO NOT FILE"... Now I have a copy of IRS E-file Signature Authorization(not signed just says Copy Only) & Consent to Use Tax Return Information form that is signed..

So, is this OK to send to NVC without getting an RFE?? Is it okay to send E-file tax returns? I am ready to mail today and do not want to wait another 2/3 weeks for Tax Transcripts... I thought everything was OK until I read about NO teletax accepted and just wondered if same also applied to e-file..

Thanks again..))))

Well, what I would do is send what you have, but order the tax transcripts anyway just in case they give you an RFE. I know I normally do my taxes on turbotax and there are 2 different deals that you can print out...one is info only and one is a copy of what is filed. Have you talked to H&R Block and see if they can get you a copy without that wording on it?

You would get tax transcripts for 07 and 08 and you would send your 1040 with all schedules & W4 copy for 2009. Tax Transcripts for 2009 won't be avaiable until June so thats the best option you have. IF you efiled then you can print a copy and usually e-file says 'Electronic signature' If you used Turbotax.

re: tax transcripts - call IRS again, ask them to be faxed to you - same day or next day processing on 'that request' - no need to wait 2 to 3 weeks for postal mail.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I requested for my Tax Transcripts for 2009 on April 15 and got them a week later. It just depends when you filed. If you waited until the 15th until you filed of course you will have to wait. But if you filed early, they might have them already.
