I am wondering if this is something to get worried about.. Last Monday, 19 Apr I sent my Package to Vermont Svc Ctr via USPS. I received a confirmation on the 20th (next day) that the package was delivered...

The Package contained the I-129F and all supporting Docs, along with a "Cashiers Check" for $455.00.

I am only a little concerened, because I've noticed most timelines show checks were cashed within a few days.. My bank explained that it is unlikely that they will be able to use the check information to do an EFT, but honestly, it depends who you talk to at the bank..

I am a little concerned.. I was really hoping that my petition would flow smoothly through the process, but seems like it's getting a rough start...

I'm hoping for my NOA2 by the end of may... lol.. Jus kiddin..

Please send me your thoughts...

Thanks in advance...

Ours was cashed in about a week. My advice is to allow two weeks.

If it's not cashed by then, I'd call USCIS or make Infopass appointment.

My check was cashed about a week after I sent the petition. Despite what it says in the I-129F instructions, they did NOT do an electronic funds transfer. I was able to view the canceled check on my bank's website.

I've heard people say it sometimes takes two or three weeks before their check is cashed. There doesn't seem to be any explanation for why some take longer than others.

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!

I'd say your petition is flowing through quite smoothly. Take a chill pill; you won't see the NOA2 for about 5 months. Relax and maintain the relationship.

Never mind, I am brain dead.. That's what it should be...

Thx! - I had to zoom the #### out of it, b/c it's blurry... - mine is a WAC (assuming W for CA/West and E for NH/East?)

I think mine is WAC1013950817 - so very similar. Appreciate the help.

I'll try to get registered on the USCIS site.

  • 4 weeks later...
Filed: K-1 Visa Country: Philippines

My check FINALLY got cashed! Well, 2 weeks seems like a long time!

So, as I applied to VSC, I was expecting to see a number starting with EAC 10#'s on the back of the check. There is a really long string of numbers at the top of the back of the check ending with T129F, however nothing with EAC. I tried calling USCIS, the rep told me they can't give me a case number until after 30 days. (She wouldn't even try to check the database).

Any advice (on how to get my application receipt number) or do I just have to wait until June 11 or later? (Note, check cashed yesterday, but NOA1 NOT received as of yet).

Thanks,

Frank
