Tuyen made without any problems.

Her POE was San Francisco. She told them her English is bad when they questioned her. Other than her luggage missing the connection from SF to Minneapolis there wasn't any problems.

Right now she is bundled up next to a heater with wool socks on keeping warm. I got her to go out yesterday. She claimed she didn't need my winter jacket, until she stepped outside. We went shopping for a hat and gloves for her, luckily they had one pair of gloves left.

Does anyone know what "Bột nêm" is? She didn't get any when we went to the Asian grocery store and I don't know what it is, so I can't check to local store.

Hmmm. It just translates to "seasoning salt". I'm really not sure what it is. Phuong is at school now, but I'll ask her when she gets back.

BTW, Congrats!

LOL. I tell my friends that we have taken over. A good friend of mine here that I introduced to a VN babe has their visa interview on May 13 and I just introduced another friend to a friend of my wife so they can start the magical journey. I am trying to whittle a list of mine of babes that want American husbands and figure soon we will control the future.kicking.gif

2 types you can get:

Bot%20nem%20Knorr%20100.jpg and bot%20nemthit%20xao.gif

My wife uses it to make soups and adds it to broths for a little more flavor.

Congrats.. It sometimes just feels unreal after all that wait huh....

So its basically a soup starter.

You're right, it doesn't seem real having her here with me.

Many thanks everyone. I would have never made it without VJ.

it flavors the soup a little more... My wife still uses bones to make the broth, she uses bot nem to enhance the flavor more.
