Last year after my babe got here and started school for beautician her Uncle here bought a old broken down house and wanted to convert it to a new Hair cut place. Of course I wasn't asked or had any say so in the matter but seemed to be drafted to be the one to make this all happen. I wanted to post a few before pics and then a after pic.

This is the before pic

Of course my babes Aunt wants to retire in a few years and start traveling and my wife will train to run and take over the businesses at that time. She is learning right now and doing well at it. The main thing is learning to be a boss lady. I think she will be able to do that as she does boss me around well. (Tries to anyway) I have ideas right now of two other locations that should do well but I think my days of building from scratch are over. The hassles and headaches were huge on this place. I am thinking of doing the strip mall is a better idea like the other place is at now.

It looks great, and it shows that some people truly do deserve to get the K1 visa approved, Binh and I are both happy for the two of you!

Thanks JeromeandBinh. She is very happy here and I am truly a lucky man. I knew we would be a good match but never expected this much happiness. I say a prayer for you both also.

I will see if I can find some before pics. I lost most of my pics and will search for them but I do have some inside pics now of the shop part. The back part of the business is where we live when I am home. It is just the bedroom and kitchen and bathroom and shower. Will post later if I can find them. Thanks for the complement.

Following your American Dream, huh? Thumbs up to you guys ...

Yes we are. Doubt her dreams were this large before she came here though. She just asked for her own home and at least a baby girl.whistling.gif

Many thanks. No permit was needed for building as it was in an unincorporated part of the county. Did need to get a permit from the state to do the culvert and driveway and paving from the state highway to the property though. I ended up getting the permit done myself and it was a huge headache but somehow managed. Then I hired a crew to come and do the work and did the street safety cones and wore the safety vests and stood next to the street myself and directed the traffic if needed. Surprisingly also did all the plumbing myself and much electrical myself. (Yes twice I did get shocked and would never advise anyone to do it themselves especially once when I was writhing on the ground when I cut into a supposed dead wire to put a sensor on the sign on the house shown.) The fire department only came once which I am proud to say as expected more often.whistling.gif

address please so I can get a cut whenever I am on the SE side. Congrats Curtis.

I will just post a link to the website I finished last night. On it both businesses are shown. My babe is at the one shown here in Bacliff. Her pic is also on it. At either please say that you are good friends of Curtis and they will treat you good but they treat every customer right. If the website is deleted for terms of service then just send a message and I will send it to you. And please understand I had never made a website before so it is a work in progress.
