I used BJ's "online ordering" last night for dinner. I haven't been cooking since Friday last week because we moved from Santa Monica to Glendale and there is so much more to take care of. It's even a little bit stressful.

I went to the restaurant to pick up my Balsamic Glazed Chicken just to find out that they haven't received my online note. The SMS that we got must have been automated. My husband decided that we'd just buy drinks and have a midnight dinner there. The manager approached us and apologized. He said that he'd deduct a few bucks from the check because it was their fault.

Arbind ordered wings with our drinks while waiting for my other chicken. When it was time to pay, we noticed that they gave me the Balsamic Glazed Chicken for free. That was $ 12.95 off from the check.

What a surprise! I thought the manager would only take a few bucks off. :D I am just sayin'...

 Restaurant managers do that pretty often because they know it will leave you with a good impression and hopefully keep you coming back. I was moonlighting at Chili's for awhile and every night our manager was giving some customer a free meal or cutting their bill in half to make up for errors on the part of the server or kitchen. That's why you should speak up if you are not happy with your meal (within reason). Some customers though will complain about not being able to see their reflection in the silverware.

Well, I don't know what you all thought this thread was going to be about, but I immediately figured it would be about balsamic glazed chicken.
