I need to go a little further with this one. Manson convinced a bunch of needy, desperate and gullible children to go kill in his name. Kids that were too lost and ignorant that they would listen to anyone who would tell them what they wanted to hear. And once they were brainwashed into believing they understood who the enemy was he convinced they needed to kill for him. His plan was to start a war between the whites and blacks and when the dust settled, his "family" would ride in from the desert on a fleet of dune buggies and take control of what was left. If you want to draw some comparisons I would defiantly look at the previous administration. Even then, any sensible person would never be foolish enough to believe that either President remotely displays the characters traits of Manson and only the most foolish and ignorant out there would believe such an accusation.
