I got confused because I want to send my AOS package via USPS express mail.. Can someone give me a quick response which filing address to send the AOS package.. Is it the P.O. box address or in 131 South Dearborn, 3rd Floor? Thank you for the help!

I forgot to ask also.. Since i live in California, where should I send my package? I heard that USCIS made some updates on the form and filing locations so I want to make sure where to send my package.. Thanks again.

It goes to the street address, not the mailbox. Someone will sign for it at the street address, but not at the mailbox. Chicago is the only place to send the original AOS package; it will be reassigned by that office, perhaps to California, perhaps not.

Can someone clarify it guys.. I'm ready to send the AOS package via USPS express mail but I'm not sure what address to send it..

If you're going to send it via Express Mail, then send it to the street address that it gives you for express mail.

ANY USPS pmail product can/should be sent to the PO Box... The street address is strictly for PRIVATE (NON USPS) couriers such as UPS or FEDX

YMMV

The street address is not "strictly for PRIVATE (NON USPS) couriers." You can also send Express Mail to it. I know because I did. Unless you check a box waiving the signature requirement, Express Mail requires that a person be present to actually sign for the package. I assume that's why, on the forms, it tells you to send express mail to the street address.

I believe that there are people who have sent Express Mail to the PO Box, and ultimately had it signed for by "M. Box" and accepted, so it probably works one way or the other, but to say that USPS is "strict" about not delivering to street addresses is incorrect.

If you send it USPS Express Mail. Waive the signature as if it get there when noone is there to sign it will be sent back to the local PO for another attempt. No need as you can get email notification of them receiving it.

Sure you can but believe what you want but it takes the USPS LONGER to deliver to a street address than to the PO box.. so if you want to delay the actual delivery of your package then by all means...

If you look at the instructions it says to use the PO box for USPS deliveries and the physical street address for "Express mail and couriers".. the Express is intended to refer to services such as federal EXPRESS...

YMMV

I sent mine priority USPS to the P.O. Box... They give you a tracking number. You can go on www.usps.com put the tracking number in and see when it was delivered. We didn't not request a signature. Just a comformation that it made it. Good luck

Sorry, but you're just wrong about this. It takes exactly one day for express mail to get where it is going, be it a street address or a PO Box, with some exceptions that have nothing to do with it going to a physical address over a PO Box (like if you're mailing it from Guam or something). There is no way to make express mail get to the office any faster than sending it to the street address via express mail. None.

No, I am right... In a lockbox operation the mail is delivered by 6 or 7AM because someone goes to the USPS first thing in the AM... A physical address delivery is whenever the route delivery guy gets there... could be the morning or in the afternoon...

I use a lockbox operation at my work... all mail is opened and posted daily BEFORE 9AM....

YMMV

Express mail is delivered around 12:00 no matter what. Post offices generally aren't even open at 6:00. Even if the post office did open at 6:00, USCIS wouldn't be around to pick it up because OPM says that USCIS doesn't open until 9:00. You have no idea what you're talking about and you're terrified of admitting that you're wrong.

Anyway, to the OP: Whatever you do, don't send it to the physical address like I did because on the form "express mail" doesn't mean "express mail" and if you overnight it directly to USCIS it will go slowly whereas if you overnight it to the USCIS' PO Box requiring someone to go pick it up it will go quickly, and you should make sure that someone has to sign for the package where they can't possibly sign for it and never require that someone sign for the package where they can sign for it. And if you don't believe me just ask payxibka. He's an expert. :D
