Asalamu Alikum and hello to everyone,

Would everyone be able to post how long they've been in this whole visa process. I just wanna know if there are people who have been in a longer time than I have.

For me: 7-months and counting for a k-3 visa.

Thanks in advance,

Zizi

ps-I would post this in the k3 section, but I felt like my process is dragging on since I'm originally a middle easterner!

I filed for I-130 in July 2005, for K-3 - last August. He had the dumbest interview this July which didn't lead to anything. So, it's been a year for K-3 already. Wasn't even able to find out if i'll get 'intent to deny' letter soon. And i have a Congress Woman's office and a Senator's office trying to help me since July 2006.

Tanya

Met online - May 2004

Met in person - August 2004

Got married - May 2005

Filed I-130 - July 2005

Filed I-129 - August 2005

Interview - February 2006 - 221(g) - still under investigation.

Another useless interview - July 2006 - got nowhere!

August 23, 2007 - he's finally here!

Our CR-1 took about 9 1/2 months from start to finish. No RFEs, no AR, but we did have an unnecessary 6-week delay waiting for an Israeli police certificate (which we weren't told we needed until my husband got to his interview.) However, we were dealing with a very small consulate in a very small country, so our experience was not really typical of Muslim countries. Also, I'm of the opinion that Israel's state-of-the-art security apparatus helps speed things up as far as name checks, etc.

Wishing you the best with your visa journey -- hope you finish soon !

Just to clarify....

Actually, Palestinians living in the West Bank and Gaza process their visas through the Jerusalem consulate, as my husband did.

A large number of Palestinian refugees and their descendants do indeed now reside in Jordan, and they do process their visas through Amman.... but this is because they are considered Jordanian citizens.
