The left doesn't believe it is a lie, because, even if no one actually said the racially inflammatory word, most of those present were thinking the word in their hearts. The sense of fair play among these liberals progressives does not require a set of rules to be followed by all sides for an open debate, but rather some sort of self-revelation that their cause is the only just cause, despite any evidence to the contrary. As a matter of fact, an opposition must be suppressed at any cost, or their "truth" cannot prevail. Doubt has no place in the mindset of these zealots, and evidently, no longer does patience. This is their time, they feel they were cheated out of a victory some ten years ago, and they are not about to let it happen again. I see history repeating itself, one way or another.
