I filed I 130 may 20 2009, transfered to los angeles sept 26 2009. I received letter to make appointment with info pass to Los angeles request more information. I went to los angeles today. Waited an hour before I was called. They said my case was in transit. They did not have my case there. I showed them the letter from uscis for me to go there in person to give more info. she said she did"t know why but my case was in transit to a storage facility!!! She tells me she guesses someone was having a bad day when they sent the letter to me! WHAT??? She said she would get my file back to los angeles and come back in 3 weeks! I asked how will I know if my case is even here in 3 weeks! I asked to speak with a supervisor, was told they are all in a meeting. She did take my number and says!!!! she will check on my case daily and call me when it arrives 3-5 weeks. She said I can call the 800 number, I told her that was useless, she said don"t speak to the first person that answers that is only contractors working for uscis, I must ask for an immigration officer, I never Knew this before!! I thought when I called I was speaking to a uscis employee. She said they are contractor and U must ask for an immigration officer. 11 months and still waiting for approval

That's why in the army acronym "SNAFU*" the "FU" doesn't stand for "fouled up."

It's the government's way of saying "have a nice day."

*The "SN" stands for "situation normal."
