I have a question, I sponsor a person from Taiwan, I thought that was the right one, then I found out that she came here for the wrong reason, she still has a lover in viet nam and Taiwan, other than that there are quite a bit of conflicts in between culture, I am glad filling I-129F gave me some time frame for both of us to adjust, she thought since she 's once in the USA she automatically a permanent resident and not realizing that she require her queen card before she leaves the country, she left the country while AOS is still pending, and now I received a green card from the mail, what is the proper procedure to return the green card back to the Department of home land security. Where do I send it back to and what form do I need to fill out, please advice.

If you look on the letter that accompanied the green card, you will see a phone number to call. Call it and they will tell you what to do.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

didn't she apply for an advance parole doc w/the AOS? if she did she can still come back.

if not, and looks like she married you for fraudulent reasons, wait til after her supposed return date before reporting her to uscis (be ready to back up your claim agaisnt her) because she might appeal her case (because she did apply for AOS before leaving and it's been approved. :)

What name is on the USCIS envelope?

I hope for you it's your name, not hers, as tampering with mail (by definition: wilfully opening, destroying, damaging, or taking into possession without the express or implied consent of the sender or addressee a postcard, letter, package, envelope or parcel entrusted by the sender to another for delivery to a third person") is a felony.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

That's my Bob, always positive but technically correct.

What I would do is call the number on the form/green card and inform them your wife has left the country (give specific date) and abandoned her AOS. Ask them what to do in regards to returning the green card.

At this point about all she can do is file for a lost/stolen GC and hope to obtain a new one. Doubtful this will happen if she left the country prior to approval.

Good luck
