USCIS: 10-06-2009: I-130 rec'd by USCIS; 03-16-2010: I-130 APPROVAL (after 5+ friggin months of torture, agony and waiting!)
NVC:
04-29-2010: INTERVIEW ASSIGNED FOR JUNE 10TH IN CHENNAI CONSULATE, INDIA; 06-10-2010: INTERVIEW - VISA APPROVED!!!!!
06-18-2010: Entered US - NEW YORK CITY and 08-16-2010: GC received! (nearly 2 months after PoE) woo hoo!
AOS for permanent 10 yr green card:

04-02-2012: NOA of I-751 and 1 yr extension of temp green card

05-03-2012: Biometrics appointment

12-18-2012: 10 yr Green card approved; 12-22-2012: Green card rec'd

N-400 citizenship:

that actually is also what the consulate lady from the visa info unit told me too when i called. interestingly, when i told her that i had the 2nd PCC (from my local police station), she said that it may not be necessary. i think these guys are also all clueless and not keeping with their own rules...

I know that sounds crazyyy, but chennai seems like working with diff kinda set of rules than mumbai.... it doesnt even make sense when they told me eventhough its valid for 12 months, they want it to be in less than 6months. called twice and e-mailed once, same answer :(

now i am kinda worried about my wife's passport/pcc.. its been already 16days and no news from the passport office.

My wife's interview was approved!

It took less than 5 minutes for the CO to advise her Visa was approved. The wait is finally over. Thanks for all the wonderful people here at VJ. You guys are like family. I love how each and member looks out for the best interest of the other. I know I have'nt been very active lately, but I lurk from time to time and its so gratifying to see how everyone with different creed, race or religion all unite as one in this board. The wait sometimes can be really frustrating but its very rewarding at the end. Im praying for those remaining hopefuls to have an easy process as well. God is truly great.

Screener asked her two questions, very friendly.

What does your husband does for a living?

What do you do for a living?

CO was also very nice and friendly.

When is your B-Day?

Your petitioners name?

When did you got married?

Looked at a few pictures, and thats it.

She brought a boat load of paperworks and not even one was asked. Her CO said everything was filed perfectly, so Im guessing I did something right at the USCIS and NVC stage, thanks to you guys of course. Now, im off to find some airplane tickets for me and the wifey. =)

09/23- NOA1 Received

01/19' Touched/NOA2 Approved!

Up next, NVC process!

01/26-Case Assigned via AVR

02-04-Received AOS Bill & DS3032 form online

Hey sach good to hear that you got your passport gal ! ! really happy for you :)

I was so happy when the guy came to deliver it! But I didn't have any government issued ID on me so he refused to hand it over saying it was against the rules and stuff. I was like, the only friggin' ID I have issued by the government is in that damn package! But he wouldn't relent. So I had to wait till my mom got home and showed my PAN card. Then I tore open the package, I was so excited!

Thanks once again, good luck on your interview and I hope your PCC stuff gets resolved soon!
