Well, your visa certainly won't be issued UNTIL after you submit what was asked for. Do it ASAP.

I assume the "piece of paper" was a 221g. Gather the information requested as expediently as possible and submit it.

I dont think anyone can tell you how long it will take! The consulate usually will not even tell you!

As far as worrying - if you provide what they requested and it meets the requirements, then all hopes would be that you will be ok.

Sounds about right! Provide the documents as soon as possible! If they asked you to mail it, get a service that will request a signature, this way you'll know it got there. Also, call a couple days after to see if they updated your case and try to get an answer.

Good luck, but if all is in check, you will get your visa eventually. It's just a matter of time, again!

That document your fiance(e) should have sent you in the first place, so you can leverage their brain lapse to your benefit........if they kept your passport, all they want is that document and you should be good to go. Nothing seems abnormal.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!
