Is it manditory? No, but it is a VERY good idea "just in case." Im getting ready to send my wife all the stuff I sent the NVC...actually the only thing she doesnt have is the AOS.

Since I attended my husband's interview I brought a copy of every single document we sent the USCIS and the NVC just in case they were missing anything. Luckily they had it all with them at the embassy but it felt comforting knowing we came prepared to the interview.

Hello, Reading your comments ,I see that your wife already had her medical. I thought it was to be done on the day of interview. Am I missing something here?

Maybe I'm out of step here. I just sent in the IV package ( DS-230 and I-864) What is the next step? Wait to get the date for medical and interview?

When were your packages delivered to NVC? You need to wait 8-11 days from then for a case complete, barring any RFEs.

Good luck!

Is it necessary to send to the spouse the forms that I mailed to NVC.

No. Not at all !

NVC sends those forms to the USEM in Manila, and the forms are available for any VO/ConOff to review prior to interview day.

What you MIGHT want to worry about though, is receiving BACK, via yer spouse, on Interview Day -

the original DOCUMENTS that you sent off to NVC.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Hello sachinsky, This is March 18, Thursday. MY package arrived yesterday at NVC. So then I should not hear anything for about a week to 10 days. Right?

Will they send me an email (barring any RFE's) telling me that the package has been sent to American Embassy in Manila. And also, do they set the appointment date for the medical and interview for the spouse? Or does the Embassy set the appointment date?

Call on Monday and listen to the AVR to see if your packages have been inputted.

Then yes, wait another week (around the 30th) and call again to see if there are any updates.

Once you can no longer sign in to the NVC payment portal, you will know that your case is done processing.

You can confirm that you indeed have a case complete with an operator/check the AVR.

If you have a RFE, the AVR will update to say so and you will receive a checklist in your email detailing what it is that they need from you.
