Great movie. Have you seen 'GO'? Not as good but still pretty good.

I remember really liking Requiem for a Dream, but don't remember it very well. Was that with Ellen Burstyn as some kind of drug addict who stayed up all night watching infomercials? I remember it being very "trippy".

"Go" is one of my favorite movies ever, must have seen it over 10 times.

1998 or 99, IIRC.

RFOAD was a little twisted for my taste, and the scene cuts during the double ended action were distracting, especially the business of mixing the clips of the losers in with all the fun.

you want a really twisted movie, try Pi.

If you want twisted - pretty much any David Lynch movie (besides Dune and The Straight Story) is 100x more twisted than either of those.
