Hi Everyone, I need help please as I am a bit confussed what forms to complete or how to send our package in. I came over to USA on K1 with 2 children - K2, we were married here in USA last friday and now want to submit forms for naturalisation etc. What forms do I need to download for that and anything else I need, then where do we send it , our processing centre for K1 was Vermont. Any other information will help , thank you :)

You're jumping the gun a little bit.

First is AOS - Adjustment of Status, which will get you 2 yr conditional greencards... Cost is $1010.00 each!

Then 90 days prior to the 2 yr greencard expiring you will apply for ROC - Removal of Conditions, which will get you a 10 yr green card.

Then about 1 yr later if you're still married you can apply for Naturalization...

Cost is $1010.00 each!

It's $1010 for the K1 and $600 each for the K2s if they are adjusting at the same time as the K1.

To the OP, click on the Guide button at the top of the page and look for 'Adjustment of Status Guide' under the 'Work, Travel and Becoming a Permanent Resident' heading on the right.

Timeline Summary:

The AOS filing is the single biggest step, when it comes to paperwork. It's noticeably more paperwork than either the I-129F or the consulate visa application.

But once it's done you get a 21 month break. :)

And even after that, Removal of Conditions is only one relatively simple form plus a pile of documentation, and Naturalization is also only one relatively simple form, with most of the same documentation you gathered for RoC.

Once your AOS packet is in the mail, it's all downhill (in the good way!) from here :)

DON'T PANIC
