Good. you guys are waiting for approval.. All the best. But I am just starter now. I got I-130 (F2A) reached chicago on 19th Aug. Received Text & Email message with acceptance receipt number this evening. Since I am east coast resident so was hoping it will go to TSC or VSC but it went to California center CSC. I know CSC has longer processing wait compare to other ones (5months) :(

immi-mygc, best of luck for your I-130.

You know what, when I applied my I-130 on Dec. 2006 CSC was the fastest service center, I was like why mine didn't go to CSC, but now things have changed and CSC has become the slowest service center. They are 1 yr. behind, but does'nt neccessarily mean that it takes whole 1 yr. to approve your case, it can happen way earlier than 1 yr. too. Good Luck

I wish you are right...but on other side I think it was just bcuz of my email to csc they have touched case...

lets see in 3-4 days..

Did you petitioner received mail in US?

So what next step for you? can you email for DS3032 now?

Thanks,

homer4all,

When did you see the last 'touch' on your case?

I think yours is approved too and the approval notice in on it's way to your mailbox. Wish you good luck buddy.

rajalucy,

I understand yours took 3-4 months to get to the NVC since your case was transferred to LOS field office instead of NVC and you had to make expedite service request. I saw someone who was approved 1 week later than myself, got her/his case # from NVC within a week. I think it is still 1-2 weeks after approval if case is current and USCIS doesn't make any booboo.

yes because they are citizen not LPR like us, if ur case went back to CIS that mean they will forward your case to NVC in 2 weeks. its the same pattern like my case.

mine went back to cis and then nvc

rajalucy,

I need your help my fren,

Yesterday I called USCIS and managed to speak with a supervisor. He was very nice and helpful. I explained him everything like, my I-130 has been approved a month ago and it has not been sent to NVC yet. He said since you are green card holder it takes 3-4 yrs. for visa to become available then I told him that's true but my priority date is already current since June 2010. Then he said lets go ahead and make a request. He took my all the details and filled up the form, I asked him is it an expedite request that you are doing rite now, he said YES. I was so happy that he did an expedite request for me. Now I have some queries pleaes share your experience with me.

1. How long did it take for your case to reach NVC after expedite request ?

2. Did you see any 'touches' before your case reached to NVC?

Thanks in advance.

malvika when i did expedite request they told me

first they will check if i am eligable for request (i was since my case PR was current)request made on 22nd

email _received on 27th The petition was processed and approved by Los Angeles District Office. The petition will be forwarded to National Visa Center; please allow 30 days for the transfer to occur.

it only took 5 days to get responce

then on 29th i recived another email saying that your case has been forwarded to nvc on 27th then i call nvc they give me my case number (now how the hell they assign my case # on 29th when it was sent to nvc on 27th. they assign my case number on very first day after receiving my case)

so u can see it only took 7 days

i am prety sure you will get your case # very soon. good luck malvika

Thanks rajalucy,

I too wonder that your petition was sent to NVC on 27th and they assigned you a case no. on 29th. just in 2 days. I think it's just they transfer the case electronically not the physical file. May not be so. I am not sure.
