Congrats for your approval Khanl,

BTW, what was your service center and local USCIS office? Is visa number already available for your wife?

I am asking these questions becuase my I-130 (F2A category) was approved on 07/20/10, but NVC hasn't received it yet. I have been sending emails and bugging to Texas Service Center. They say they have requested my file and once received it will be forwarded to NVC. I am really upset. It's already a month now that my I-130 was approved.

I think it takes approx 1-2 months (after NVC assign you a case number) for NVC to receive your all documents (you can do pretty much things by emails) and for interview schedule, it depends on your consulate how busy are they. But I wish you for the speedy process.

Lets share. Let me know if NVC receives your case.

Thanks,

Good. you guys are waiting for approval.. All the best. But I am just starter now. I got I-130 (F2A) reached chicago on 19th Aug. Received Text & Email message with acceptance receipt number this evening. Since I am east coast resident so was hoping it will go to TSC or VSC but it went to California center CSC. I know CSC has longer processing wait compare to other ones (5months) :(

I-130 (F2A) filed NoA1-08/19/2010, Approval-12/25/2010 :) @CSC

wow hopefully nvc does not take 2-4 months to get my case # :crying: I have heard 2-3 weeks, how long is the process after that,.

Is it 3-4 months even if your priority date is current? My category is F2A, exempt from per-country limits.

It will be quicker, thats what i think.

rajalucy,

I understand yours took 3-4 months to get to the NVC since your case was transferred to LOS field office instead of NVC and you had to make expedite service request. I saw someone who was approved 1 week later than myself, got her/his case # from NVC within a week. I think it is still 1-2 weeks after approval if case is current and USCIS doesn't make any booboo.
