I'm always curious as to where people are from in the UK, so thought this could be an interesting add on to the Brits in the USA topic.

I'm from Bromley, Kent

Hi everybody!!!!!! My hubby is from LIVERPOOL,ENGLAND but will be coming back to TENNESSEE!!!!!

01/28/04-met online via yahoo (hot diggity!!!!)

spoke on online and cam every day for over a year

04/01/05-andy comes to tennessee for 2 weeks!!!!! (double hot diggity!!!!)

06/18/05-andy comes back to stay with me for 3 months!!!!!

12/30/05-andy comes back to stay with me for 3 more months!!!!!!!

03/18/06- WE GET MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

***HERE STARTS OUR VISA JOURNEY***

04/03/06-mailed packet to texas

04/07/06-touched

04/08/06-check cashed @ texas

04/16/06- 1st NOA!!!!!!!!!!

05/10/06-mailed packet to chicago

05/12/06-touched

07/20/06-2nd NOA.!!!!!!!!!......took forever !!!!(had to send back additional info which was

some form saying youve never committed any horrible crimes!!!!!!

08/22/06-went for his medical!!!!!!!!!!

****waisted a bunch of time because we both recieved packets and got confused..he was sent

k3/ds papers and i was sent I-864 forms for cr-1....WE GOT MIXED UP!!!!!!!!!

10/03/06-hubby mailed off check list for k3 to embassy

10/12/06-hubby recieved interview date!!!!!!.............NOV 7th @ london embassy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OMG

11/07/06-APPROVED!!!!VISA GRANTED!!!! YAY!!!!!!!"

No one said it would be easy...no one said it would be so hard"

Born in Edinburgh but grew up in the west of Scotland, I spend a fair bit of time explaining I'm not Glaswegian, lived in Hampshire a while too in a few places around Portsmouth.

Doesn't it totally drive you crazy? It seems we have the same experiences...

I was born in Fife, but grew up on the West coast of Scotland. I consider myself Scottish, and only say I am a Fifer when people make the mistake of assuming since I lived in or near Glasgow that I must be a Glaswegian.

I'm from Blackpool woowoo (well Cleveleys which is 20 mins away)!! Just look at that golden sand ( :lol::no: ) I miss it though :blush: it was kinda a crazy place to grow up!! Had some SERIOUS fun :whistle: ..... now living in Fresno, CA (L)

11/13/2006 GREEN CARD RECEIVED - NO MISTAKES!!!!

06/06/08 Family moved back to UK!!

Husband gained UK citizenship September 2015

Carl was born in Blackpool and has lived in Herefordshire for the past 5 years. I was over there with him from Sept 18- Oct 2. We went up to BP for a weekend. I like Blackpool but being from Maine I'm not much of a city girl, it was nice to get back to the quietness of Herefordshire. Though I have to say anywhere with him is perfect.

Just noticed another 'sandgrown'un' (well actually I was born in Manchester but moved when I was two!)!!

I always get asked if i'm australian....I guess the northern accent really throws the Americans.....I think they think everyone speaks the queens English :P

Englishsammy I always get asked if I'm Australian or from New Zealand too and it drives me crazy! I'm from Lincolnshire but have been living in Illinois for 5 months now, it's just flown by!
