what is it with liberals and the use of the term "phobia"?

phobia is an unreasonable fear.

calling someone a "phobic" is just another way of bashing them and trying to shame them into compliance with a liberal agenda.

F your agenda, and get off my front porch.

there are lots of us who are not phobic, and do not like it when gays flout their lifestyle and demand to be called mainstream.

there are lots of us who are not phobic, and do not like it when foreigners try to force everyone to be like them and salute some mexican flag.

we are just tired of the #######.

go play with your boyfriend somewhere else.

speak english in public and fly the American flag on top or go home.

be "normal" for once, hao bo hao?

What's with the use of liberal as a generic term for anything that you don't like?

Oh, and I think you mean 'flaunt' their lifestyle. If they flouted it, they wouldn't offend you at all.

What don't you like about a gay person flaunting their lifestyle anyway? What is it about it that bothers you so much? Surely, if they have sex in their own bedrooms, the fact that they don't hide that they are gay is irrelevant to you.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I have no idea what your problem is with Mexican flags, no one has tried to make me salute one since I have lived in the states. Is that some peculiar gay movement that I don't know about?

You don't think it's phobic to tell a guy he can't live openly as a gay person? I do. I would be against gays having sex in public, but then again, I'm against heterosexuals doing that too. If gays want to kiss or hold hands in public the only way I would be offended is if I had an unreasonable fear of it. I don't. I don't want to watch anyone kissing but I don't object to people doing it in public, it's a perfectly acceptable behaviour.

No Shooter, it's a stupid mistake that you can't even bring yourself to admit to. To flout is to ignore convention. To flaunt is to make an open display of something that is provocative.

Hey but try to tell me they want to flout their lifestyle all you wish, flute players all

That's not his argument, he doesn't object because of the immorality but because he finds seeing gay people offensive. Did you read his post at all?

there is a big difference between unreasonable fear of an activity, and repulsion from an activity. i find male/male displays of affection offensive. strangely, i do not find female/female displays offensive, provided that the chix are hot, and go both ways. i guess that makes me a lesbian, huh?

No, it makes you a homophobe. As you have been attending psyche 101 you would know that finding something offensive for no reason is phobic. You do not object to same sex sex, you object to male same sex sex. Perhaps you should re-avaluate your test scores?
