Timeline
Just at the cliffs near our house. Not much to report from here, just wind waves currently. Saw some humpbacks and a sea turtle cruising about. We're about 40 miles from Hilo, which is currently receding the bay. Might go back in a few if something else is happening. Apparently, not confirmed by anyone we know in Hilo, but Coconut Island (a landmark) is no longer. . . . .

Hopefully all the boaters out on the waters are safe if there is a surge, and those in the harbors don't get any damage.

As for Chile and Argentina, so sad for them. (F):(

Condolences to those lost. The death toll in Chile is certain to go up dramatically in the coming hours and days. (F)

I can only find a landslide that happened last Friday that shut down some interstates...
