After much lurking and learning I am finally putting together my K-1 packet. My fiance(beneficiary) has two kids and I have included them in the I-129f. My question is do I need a G-325A form for the kids? I already have one for my fiance and one for me but im stuck on if I need one for each of the kids also. Hope someone out there can help and many thanks in advance'

G325a has nothing to do with biometrics. Children of the fiancee require only their information be listed where it's asked for on the I-129F. No G325a for children of fiancee.

You don't petition for the kids. You petition for their mother. You list the kids on the I-129F because the form's instructions say you're supposed to, and also so the consulate can't later say you didn't know about them. Other than that, the kids don't have anything to do with the petition phase of the process. You don't submit G-325A's for them with the petition. If the kids are applying for K2 visas then there will be plenty of paperwork for them to submit at the consulate phase.

This is just one in a long list of reasons it's so important people understand the difference between petitions and visa applications and that those who DO know the difference refrain from confusing others by interchanging the terms.

Hey,

My i129f was just approved. My fiance has one child from a previous marriage who is 5. You do not need a g325 for him. We did however include a certified copy of his birth certificate and of his passport that were officially translated into English (only birth certificate, we figured copies of the passport were enough).

Additionally, be sure to include on the application that there are children of the beneficiary.

That should do the trick.

Again, don't confuse petitions and applications. The child is simply listed on the petition. Later, the child will be invited to apply for a visa. That's when the birth certificate and passport will be needed, not at petition time.
