I wonder anyone has experience calling USCIS Customer Service at 1800-375-5283. How to get through to talk to their live assistance representative. I went though many button options following their voice instruction and couldn't find the specific button to get to a rep. Thanks a lot!!!

[July 11, 2012]: Biometrics appointment. [Day 42]

[June 27, 2012]: Received biometrics appointment notice. [Day 28]

[June 9, 2012]: Two-year green card expired. Driver's licence expired, too. Apply I-751 early, Folks! [Day 12]

[June 7, 2012]: Check cashed. [Day 10]

[June 1, 2012]: Package delivered to the Vermont office. USPS Priority is fast enough. [Day 4]

[May 29, 2012]: Sent I-751 package to Vermont office via Certified USPS Priority. [Day 1]

A long and short two-year. Time really flies!

[June 9, 2010]: Interview Day! Very smooth after a long wait (2-3 hours wait). Got Green Card! [Day 89]

[May 7, 2010]: Received interview appointment - June 9th. No EAD yet though. [Day 56]

[April 20, 2010]: Biometric. About one hour wait time. [Day 39]

[April 7, 2010]: Walk-in biometric rejected. They didn't want to do it. [Day 26]

[April 4, 2010]: Received biometric appointment notice - April 20th. Dated March 30th. [Day 23]

[March 26, 2010]: Received NOAs for I-485, I-130, I-756, I-131. [Day 14]

[March 23, 2010]: Checks cashed. Case established on USCIS website. [Day 11]

[March 22, 2010]: Received texts and emails for receipt # for all 4 applications [Day 10]

[March 15, 2010]: Package received and signed by USCIS [Day 3]

[March 12, 2010]: Sent AOS package to Chicago office via USPS Express [Day 1]

[February, 2010]: Married.

[January, 2010]: Engaged.

[May 2008]: Met my husband.

[May 2006]: Changed to H1-B.

[Dec 2003]: Arrived as F-1.

One of the options is "report problem with an application" or something like that. I called the other day and choosing that option I got a live person...

Jan 3, 2010: NOAs received for I-130, I-131, I-485, I-765 (all dated 12/28/2009), received two copies of each NOA...

Jan 25, 2010: Biometrics appointment NOA received (dated 1/14/2010) for 02/09/2010

Jan 27, 2010: Biometrics completed at the Detroit ASC (walk-in)

Feb 13, 2010: Interview NOA received (dated 2/9/2010) for interview on 3/25/2010 @ Detroit USCIS

Feb 19, 2010: Second interview NOA received (dated 2/16/2010) for interview on 3/31/2010 @ USCIS Detroit

Feb 22, 2010: called USCIS to ask about duplicate NOA, got confirmation that system shows interview date of 3/25

Feb 25, 2010: my firm's immigration law department informed me about a memo they received from USCIS stating that there were problems with duplicate interview appointments

Feb 26, 2010: received letter from USCIS about erroneous interview notice and clarification about correct interview date: 3/25/10

One of the options is "report problem with an application" or something like that. I called the other day and choosing that option I got a live person...

I did too. If I am not wrong, the recorded voice will say "To report problem with a pending application, press 2". From there, follow the instruction which I think ask for your your receipt number first.

another option is click on the change adresse option , once you talk to a rep tell them you dont have to change adresse but you need to talk to a live rep ( thats what I did ,it worked )

I pressed button #2 and then chose "lost receipt number". It went through immediately! The rep is very friendly.

In terms of specific question, they tend to tell you to follow the instruction exactly on the firms. So I think to hang around in this forum is more helpful than calling them if you are confused about a specific question.

I always press 1 for english, then press *1 ... it always takes you to a representative. He/She tells me that based on my selections I'm calling for XYZ but I just say, No I'm calling to get some questions answered.... works for me every time... hope this helps someone....
