hahaha so funny.

It's so easy for someone to open his mouth and spread BS when they don't know what the story is.

Reading your post, I think that you might have mistaken what Alan was saying. He is being sympathetic towards November filers. What's the BS he's allegedly spreading? That you're frustrated and January approvals aren't fair when November seems to have been totally skipped? If so, how is that BS?

CSC and VSC are separate operations and from what the VSC Director thread indicates, they work on different visas at different times but do tend to focus on one kind at a time.

If we're talking about what is fair or not, the fact that any of us have to file for visas just because we/ our alien fiance/ees weren't gifted by virtue of birth in the US or to a USC isn't "fair". It's not "fair" that I have 3 friends over here who are dual UK/ US citizens, none of whom have any intention of ever living in the US...

But here, we're all in the same boats, just riding on different tides with no paddles.

Exactly...he wasn't trying to imply that the November filers were out of line to be frustrated which I think is how Drue & Naddy interpreted it. Alan was simply speculating about how much more frustrated November filers will be to hear this news.

Hi everyone. I am seeing some back and forth over November filers at CSC. I happen to be one of them. Filed at the California Service Center and received my NOA 1 on 11.12.09. No word since then, still in initial review. Anyone know what might be going on? Should I be worried that there has been radio silence since then? Anyones insight would be much appreciated. Thanks!

No insight to the USCIS madness....I'm just convinced it all rests upon which adjudicator's hands your petition falls in. I think we all really are at the mercy of the "human" element and individual work ethics. I was a federal employee in the Pentagon for 12 years and have seen first hand how the human element affects decisions when those decisions are based on indiviudal objectivity. Adjudicators can take however long they want and can practically ask for anything to consider their case complete. Almost no firm deadlines or rules to each adjudicator, just the "goal" of K1's in 5 months.

We just got the email today, still haven't gotten the letter. This is good news but it threw us for a loop. We got approved in less than 2 months. Is that normal?

Now what do we need to do? I basically know what we need to do, but is there anything not explained in the instructions that they're going to send me that I should know?

When should I call the NVC?

Thanks! I'm so happy!

I suggest calling NVC in about 10 days from the NOA-2 date.

Get a HUMAN and ask for the NVC/Tokyo case number. you'll need this later.

Then, start calling NVC every day or so, ask WHEN the casefile has left NVC.

After it's left NVC, wait a week.

Start calling DOS - get a Human and inquire case status.

At some point, she'll need to do something with a P3 packet (but thats embassy specific stuff) and then

there's the p4 packet and a medical exam. She'll need yer I-134 for interview day - this is the PERFECT TIME, IMO, to start prepping the I-134.

DOS will know the appointment date for the interview, and a few days after, will know the STATUS of the interview, as well.

But hei - get used to calling DOS every few days, inquiring about status.

Dig around, get those NVC and DOS hotline numbers, paste them above yer phone with the NVC/Tokyo case number.

Program for speed-dial, as well (you have some time).

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Congratulations on your approval ! We All Applaud your accomplishment with Most Wonderful Kissies !

That's not the way they do it.

hahaha so funny.

It's so easy for someone to open his mouth and spread BS when they don't know what the story is.

For your information, since mid December 2009, VSC stopped working on late October and ALL of November application, and just moved on December/January applications.

We all called our congressmen, and made them file claims, and finally, since February 19 (which means, 2 month on unfairness), VSC is back on working on the applications fairly and in order.

U're a January filer. How about, CSC working fairly till January 7 applications. Then they stop, and just completely skip the rest of January, and start working on February applications. I would like to see you "keep calm", and "not tearing ur hair".

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't recall "spreading any BS". I've read your November threads and have wondered why VSC processes the cases in the order that they do, I also read that you guys compiled a spreadsheet and forwarded the contents to a congressperson to see if that would expedite things. I never said any disparing things about you and even wished November filers luck for a speedy approval in my post.

If CSC processed cases up until January 7th then stopped I'd wonder why, but I wouldn't go to the USCIS site and scroll through thousands of other cases to see if they were processed. Going into this process I was (and still am) prepared to wait 5 months (as is the stated CSC processing time) until I start wondering #######... If I received my NOA2 before the 5 months I'd consider myself lucky but if it did take the full 5 months then I'd take my NOA2 and move on towards my interview. My fiancee and I discussed the timeframe before we filed and we've set our plans on having to wait the 5 months. If it happens early - great, if not - then so be it. I served in the military for long enough to know that the government works at its own pace and there is nothing I can do about that.

Sorry you took offense to my post, but perhaps you're taking things just a bit out of context?

As far as pulling my hair out - too late, I'm bald!!!!!!!!!!

I do wish you a speedy approval.

Alan
