That's part of the problem, an assumption that men should "take" whatever women dish out, along with the idea that, "he probably deserved it." Abuse is wrong regardless of the sex of the abuser or the abusee.

It sort of looks like Mr Shooter is an apologist for abusers - the normal argument that an abuser puts up is that the woman 'asked for it'.

It portrays a profound misunderstanding of what abuse is - although, the kind of man that hits a woman no matter what the supposed provocation is is beyond the pail to me, unless the woman is gunuinely trying to kill the guy or something.

Needless to say, unless you are in physical danger, retaliating with violence is not the answer
