Update from The Husband at work. He just got off the phone.

Said he spoke to a nice lady, not as nice as Veronica, the other lady with whom he had quite a long chat on Tuesday -- she said that they have the RFE packet we sent and it's being processed. She said it was processed from yesterday and that we could still potentially get an April interview if the processing doesn't take too long but she couldn't really give him a timetable.

So, fingers crossed?!

OMG! That is GREAT!!! Finally some good news this week. I will say a special prayer for you Sach. :innocent:

Again?! It was "Under Maintence" most of the day yesterday.

Evidently, it liked the special attention it recevied yesterday so much, it decided to do it again today. :o

I'm still here and still waiting.I could'nt resist calling them again after Lashbanda broke the good news.

I ended up speaking with a rude operator.

I'm starting to think they DO keep a log of all the times you call, coz the operators just keep getting ruder and ruder (is that a word?) every day.

Or maybe its just how they are as the week progresses.

Anywho...

She said it was still under review and that I should call back end of next week, like that's gonna happen...

Oh well, I guess Ima havta take to cooking too to get my mind off of this stuff.

I think I might make me some traditional Hyderabadi Biryani...mm mm mmmm..... :P

(Look it up,its an awesome dish created for kings) ;)

Welcome! Leave your sanity at the door and feel free to bring in all of your questions!

There's an NVC suggestion box down the hallway. Sachinky has the matches, estrella has the gasoline.

... oh and pay no mind to the screams in the back closet. Although there are reports of missing NVC employees we promise that it truly is GOAT meat in Sean Jeans Hyderabadi Biryani..

All,

I have two questions on DS-230:

1) Documents that need to be submitted such marriage certificate, PCC should be in ORIGINAL or CERTIFIED COPIES: How are most applicats submitting them? What if we lose them in the mail or at NVC? IF Cerfied copies can be submitted, who in India can certify them? Can an attoney with Power of authority certify them?

2) NVC letter says that "write your case number clearly (exactly as it appears below) on the upper right-hand corner of all documents"

How can we write the NVC case number on original certificates?

Would appreciate your help on the above two questions

Thanks
