Hi, I posted something on this topic before and got some answers, but I guess I am still confused and want to make sure my fiance won't come across any issues at POE.

He was given the 1st dose of his Varicella and TDP vaccine when he went for his medical for the consulate interview. All was fine, and we got the visa ( this was back in Jan.) He is arriving here in the US at the end of April.

He was told by the medical office at the consulate back in January when he got the visa to have the 2nd doses for these vaccines 4 weeks after his first vaccine. He went to do so, but the vaccine is nowhere to be found in his home country (different country than where his consulate is). SO, now he is coming to the US at the end of April with the visa and his sealed packet for POE, but he never had the 2nd dose of these vaccines. (We were just going to do them when he arrived here before we get married and file for AOS).

Will he come across any problems at POE without having had those 2nd doses? I am not sure what it is that sealed packet and if the officers at POE are going to say since he is not "up-to-date" with the dosages.

Anyone know he will have any problems?

Thanks!

He can have the vaccines here in USA before you are going to file for AOS.

I had done the vaccines in USA because at home they told me that it would be cheaper here.

In the envelope is all the paperwork which the consulate received about your case. Do not open it.

NO PROBLEM

My fiancee had never had a single vaccination before in her life. She received the initial TD prior to her interview.

No problem at POE - the rest can be done here. I was just printing the list actually so we can start getting them done

She is so afraid of needles huhuhu.

Thanks for calming our anxiety. Glad to know we can get them done here.

My fiance is a sterotypical man's man, but when he got the first round of vaccinations I never saw such fear in his eyes. I think he is more afraid of needles, than his fear of snakes!

Does it matter where he gets the shots done here? Can we go to wherever is most convenient and affordable (since he won't be on my insurance yet)?

Doesn't matter where he has them but keep the records of him having the shots, and then take those records with his copy of the DS-3025 (immunisation sheet from panel physician in home country) and go to a civil surgeon to transcribe the vaccinations into form I-693.

There's a pinned thread at the top of this forum in regards to I-693 and DS-3025.

He will have no issues at POE but WILL need to see a civil surgeon prior to applying for AOS.
