First of all..to all of u out there..specially kathryn...thankx.....

got my i-765 and i-131 approved..interview coming up in 2 weeks....

so thankful for all your help...couldnt done it without u guys!!!

Now...though we already are married we are having a big ceremony in okt, but we booked flights 2 weeks to see my family in sweden..she hasn't meet them before..

the i-131...says some REALLY scary things...(btw, the interview is 1 march, we leave 26 march for 2 weeks)

My question is.., HOW big are the odds that this will affect my greencard (i485 & i130) cause i choose to travel?

2. How big are the odds that I will not be able to re-enter us?

Im a f-1 student right now so..visa good for couple of more years..and im legit married to a us citizen....i mean WHY wouldnt they let me back in? on what terms?

3. I heard my status will change when i leave and come back....dose anyone know for SURE if i will be f-1 when i get back?

Will be very grateful for all those 3 questions........thank you!!!!!!

1. Choosing to travel shouldn't affect you at all, as long as you don't miss your interview and have people monitoring your mail just in case you receive anything. The ONLY issue will be if you already have an overstay. It doesn't sound from your post that you do so I wouldn't worry about that.

2. The odds are pretty small. Take as much of the paperwork that you have, especially the NOA1. I don't think i've seen posts about anyone being refused entry

3. As soon as you applied to change status you "lost" your F1 status and became a "pending adjustment applicant". You won't have changed by coming back. You already have.

**Edit - as a disclaimer this is all based on not knowing the ins and outs of your case. You said you have an interview, you MIGHT have received your GC by the time comes to leave so this whole point might be moot. If you're particular concerned, perhaps someoen can mail you your greencard if it arrives while you're away (the issue there is if you LOSE it, it's a $300 fee to get a replacement)

By March 26, you should have your GC in the mail.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.
