Hi I have one question and that is I am the beneficiary and my dad is petitioning for me right now there are some time left for him to get through the naturalization test and get the US Citizenship now my question is when the primary date for the category of Unmarried sons and daughter of USC passed out before my father get his US Citizenship and then he updated my petition and tell the NVC about his citizenship through legal channels then what will happened.

Then visa for me immediately available because then my petition priority date most probably passed out as compare to the cases that NVC will be looking into for that category, for example my primary date is 12 August 2009 and at that time NVC most probably be looking into cases which were filed October or December 2009, so it means that they must be looking into cases ahead of my primary date so what will happened then will the Visa immediately available for me at that time.

Difficult to understand your post.

You will move up a category, check the visa bulletin for current timeline.

Your father would need to notify his new status.

Actually sir it's not that difficult to understand well anyways thanks for your kind reply higly appreciated. Well sure he'll do that but my only confusion is this which is as follows:

Then visa for me immediately available because then my petition priority date most probably passed out as compare to the cases that NVC will be looking into for that category, for example my primary date is 12 August 2009 and at that time NVC most probably be looking into cases which were filed October or December 2009, so it means that they must be looking into cases ahead of my primary date so what will happened then will the Visa immediately available for me at that time.

If your priority date becomes current due to you moving up a category when your father becomes a USC, they will start working on your case immediately. That does NOT mean they will send you your visa or anything, but they'll start processing it, and you should get an interview in less than a year if there are no problems with the visa petition.
