Hello All,

So my fiance and I sent in our K1 paperwork last week. We sent in tonnes of evidence of relationship for past 2 years, as officially the application asks...credit card receipts from both of us highlighted, boarding passes, pictures all categorized by date and detailing just about every trip over the past 2 years (20+ trips). Now we actually met back in high school 12 years ago, but we didnt send evidence of our relationship for the first 10 years...I plan on bringing some of that stuff to the interview (high school year book and such). In the K1 package we of course sent a written signed description of "when/how we met". So my question is do you think we could get an RFE for further evidence of the first 10 years of relationship....I think it would be kind of silly for them to do that but none the less the thought is there in the back of my mind!!!

Thanks:)

At CSC and NVC they want to see evidence that you two met in the past two years.

Sounds like you sent plenty for a Canadian K1 petition. Did you send the "intent to marry" letters from the both of you?

The CO at the consulate will evaluate the validity of your relationship, not how long you've known each other.

I really wouldn't put too much effort into it. Montreal usually doesn't care to see any relationship evidence, especially if your fiance will be there at the interview with you. When they do ask, they normally only care to see a couple pictures.

When we filed our I-129F we had been dating for 4 years. Looking back now, I probably should have included more concrete information but we were approved without any problems. I sent in our travel itineraries as far back as I could access, 6 or 7 pictures, and wrote a 3 paragraph statement on when and how we met, how many times we've seen each other, etc. By the sounds of the information you've provided, you should be golden! They only need to see you've met at least once in the last 2 years, which you have satisfied, the rest is just extra that will help you later in the process.

Good luck on a speedy approval and come visit us in the Canada forum! :)

Hi!

Our package came out to be 67 pages I believe between everything. It was quite satisfying to see it all put together once we were done with it! My fiance was really great about keeping all his boarding passes and it was easy to get all our credit card stuff online. I will be sure to say hi on the Canada forum:)

Two sentences was all I typed into the When did you Meet section. They don't want any evidence of your relationship; that's all for the interview.

I hope you don't incur any delays when your adjucator hurts their back trying to lift your documents!

Wot?

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

Wot?

Don't worry. You hear all kinds of stories regarding the size of K-1 petitions. Some huge and some the bare minimum. Yours sounds fine....Good Luck!! Just make sure you have all that at the interview. The flight records sealed the deal for us and we had less than you.
