Hi Marisol,

I gave them about 2 weeks and then sent the inquiry. They replied on the 9th or 10th day, although they did say that they had sent out Packet 3 2 days after I sent my inquiry. That, however, did not coincide with the info that was on Packet 3 - the date was closer to when I got the case number in the email.

LOL No problem, Jaremedios. It's not petty to me. I will have to remember to talk about the clinic when we talk tonight.

ok, thanks. Was 3500 what you had calculated before or was it before? It sounds expensive and that being that he didn't have to go for other tests.

I think is because of the vaccines...Lia792 said her husband needed :

56 Tdap (Adacel)

40 MMR Measles, Mumps, Rubella. ("MR" and "MM" are not enough). You need MMR

56 Varicella - If you had "Chicken Pox" disease, no vaccine is needed

152 price + medical fee + IVA = cost

Right Lia?

yup...that is about standard for a CR-1/IR-1 because they generally don't accept vaccination records from Mexico. We did not try, though. I had calculated that cost before - $344 USD, but that comes to about 4500 in pesos. I would be prepared for anywhere from 3500 pesos to 4500 for a CR-1/IR-1 and less for a K-1 because you don't need vaccines.

Lia you mentioned

56 Tdap (Adacel)

40 MMR Measles, Mumps, Rubella. ("MR" and "MM" are not enough). You need MMR

My husband has his Cartilla de Salud issued from Seguro Social for men from 20-69 and it has a Vaccination page which lists

SR (Sarampion Ruebeola) and Td (Tetanos Difteria) So it looks like he has the one for Measles and Rubella but not Mumps on the SR vaccine

and the T (Tetnus) and d (dipteria) but not the "ap"

At Seguro, they told him those were the ones that were needed for the International VISA --

Do you know where you got the info about MR or MM are not enough?? Just so I can double check?

Thanks for all of your help!!

Hello again..

Maybe this is a silly question.. but I prefer to ask. (Im preparing packet 3)

On the checklist.. what if something does not apply to us?.. leave it blank? check it anyway? or put "N/A"?? like for example in MILITARY RECORDS

Also.. whats packet 4 about?

Thanks :)

Hi all,

I don't remember saying that MM or whatever is not enough, but I saw it somewhere else; I have no idea where. What I had seen by reading as many visa experiences as I could find on the web was that those who had come from Mexico (had not had their shots done in the US) did not have luck getting those shots accepted by the medical clinic. I can't guarantee what they will or will not accept; what I am saying is what I have read online. You can also call their phone number listed on the consulate's website. I actually estimated my prices and things from the medical prices listed at the Canadian clinic, which might explain why my husband's actual one turned out cheaper.

Packet 4 is the interview date and tells you what you can bring into the interview. You need the interview letter to get into the medical and the actual interview. You can find out the interview date faster by calling...I think I might have left the N/As blank but I can't really remember. Maybe someone who did it in the last couple weeks remembers what they did?

May 9, 2010 - I emailed them using the inquiry form asking for my case number

I think I wrote N/A on everything that didn't apply to us. But I haven't heard yet to know if it was all accepted ok. I don't remember on the parts that said optional...I remember thinking if they're optional it must be ok to leave them blank, but I might have decided to write N/A to avoid confusion...

Marisol, when do you think you'll send in Packet 3? I sent mine a week ago and I haven't sent an inquiry to ask yet. I thought I'd wait one more week since Lia said she waited two weeks before sending the inquiry, but I'm really anxious to find out if everything I sent was ok.

Lia792, if you need the interview letter to go to the medical and the interview itself, how did your husband do it? If I remember correctly, he didn't get a letter, but rather you called and got the date, correct?

Jilly and Danny, I'm pretty sure Lia792 sent an inquiry after she got approved for the I-130 but only to find out the case number. After she sent Packet 3, she actually called twice to find out the interview date. Lia792, you can correct me if I'm wrong.

I received an e mail from CDJ today.. it says:

"We have not received the application on behalf of ANGEL xxxxxx at this office. As soon as we receive it we will proceed to send you a package with instructions and information to the mailing address listed on your application."

So i guess i have to wait more days to send an inquiry again :(
