I just called NVC just to see if they had received my case yet and she said I had to wait 15 business days from my approval date for them to receive it.. I don't think it takes THAT long to get from Vermont to New Hampshire, even if you walked there. Tough cookies, I'm going to be calling every day just to make sure anywho. ;)

Woohoo, just got done violating my midget and donkey. Good touches. Hope everyone is doing good. Doc, just tried calling you. Voicemail. Shout at me tomorrow. Lohninck, Leslie, and Angel, my midget has good pictures. Bidding starts at $100. Slow economy or I would have requested more money.LOL. I am still pulling for others to get their NOA2's. I just got off of the phone with my buddy that is filing for one of my exes. Lucky #######. I had to walk him through the paperwork. Sucker. He is now about to become a VJ addict. Poor boy. I will send my midget out upon request. He is a trooper.

Congrats doc! good.gif Are you flying out for the interview or before?

We're in a holding pattern, but after sending them packet 3 via email once, re-sizing the scanned images and sending again, then thinking we'd FAX it for good measure, we got a, well, semi automatic response. Kind of.

Meaning it should have been an auto-response immediately letting us know they received it, but we got a form letter saying it's been received and attached to our packet. So, 6 days for an auto-response. Amusingly, it was as a response to the second time we submitted, but hey, we'll take it. blush.gif

Next stop, interview date and me finally being able to jump on a plane again.

I swear, the guv'mint part of this is best described as: "Waiting on someone you don't know, to do something you're not sure what, so they can finally tell you something, sometime. Then repeat."

The fun of juggling flight dates daily has now set in. It feels like a bad juggling act, with airfare rates not being great at the moment, but wanting to be in the air within 2 weeks of knowing the interview date. If there were such a thing as trip insurance covering random acts of the government, I would already have both tickets booked. As it is, it's a strange predicament. Right now, we're stuck waiting on the interview date so I can get my butt over there. Once we have the Visa, we're going to want to come home as soon as possible, but with non-refundable tickets, and no such thing as multiple entry (only double) Visas for Belarus, the Polish Embassy seeming to on occasion be slow and difficult in issuing Visas for Belorussians, I have a feeling I'll be buying both of our tickets soon, allow some padding post interview just in case, and say a prayer to the K1 deities..or something.

Mailed K1: Fedex to VSC Feb 19, 2010

NOA1: Feb 22

NOA2: May 17 (84 days, no touches, both SMS and email notice received a day later)

Rcvd at NVC: May 19

Sent on to Embassy: May 21 (in reality, May 24th)

Received at Embassy: May 26

Packet 3 received: June 1

Packet 3 returned: June 2

Packet 4 received: June 16 (emailed appointment date June 11)

interview: July 19th (Warsaw - APPROVED!!!)

POE: July 24th :)

Called NVC today, the operator this time was a bit more nice and less angry sounding than the person I talked to yesterday. They're probably going to hate me until it gets sent to the Embassy. The only reason I'm being so annoying/persistent is that my fiance moved house and I need to tell them to change the address before it gets sent to the Embassy, or else we might have more of a delay than we really want.

Poacher, I'd like to buy my own pictures, please.. I don't need my business with the midget getting leaked out, it could ruin my wedding and I've worked WAY too hard to make it perfect.

Speaking of, got the wedding rings yesterday: http://i49.tinypic.com/zjc86o.jpg woo!

ohhhhh I am soooo loving your wedding ring, my fave colour!! They are beautiful, does his have an inscription inside?? Kinda looks like it does....lol...we are wanting ours inscribed...lol...kens will say..."property of Em x" and mine will say "property of Ken"

We figured "If lost please return to ...." just wouldnt fit lmao.

Anyway Ken called the visa place alot lol. I sent our PK3 off today, got it tracked and on next day delivery...so it will be with them by 1.00pm latest tomorrow. Im praying that I got everything in order. After filling three lots of forms out for the kids and I...ughhh...Im dreading getting something wrong, I went over and over it. Theres one thing Im hoping wont cause a problem and thats fathers date of birth...I have no idea...so left it blank as it wouldnt let me type anything other than numbers in the box. Soooo fingers crossed, toes as well that its ok.

Good luck to all, where ever in the process you are.

Thanks, girls! You do have keen eyesight, there are indeed engravings on em. We decided to use the same from his parents' rings. My ring has his name, Peter, and the date, 7-24-10, and his has my name, Christina, and the date as well. His parents have been married for about 30 years, it's pretty cute and inspiring and has given us faith, too.

Best of luck with the forms, UK. Anytime I send a form out I always get nervous the minute it's in the mailbox because I start thinking I might have screwed something up.. always nervous and worrying, me. Thankfully Peter's OCD comes in handy with forms and he doesn't screw them up, but he worries, too. It's a wonder we get anything done as a couple.
