They received my I130 on Jan 19th and the check is still not cleared ! Eleven working days without any movement.....

What does that mean? I checked the timelines of a lot of people and it seems that usually, check is cleared pretty quickly in less than one week....

What can I do? The Embassy is not answering any emails or phone calls.....

Grrrrr.

you filed DCF via Mexico City, right?

Totally different timeline for you, hard to forecast when things 'get rolling'.

I say call the embassy once a week, on Friday, right before siesta time.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Dont call the embassy, call USCIS.

It would serve no purpose for the OP to contact USCIS since they are doing DCF, the file bypasses USCIS and is handled through the consulate/embassy only.

Thanks but anyway on all the phones numbers there is NEVER a live person, only answering machine , and I left messages several times, but the call is never returned.

They probably are busy having their daily mexican siesta.......

Claireg, here's the phone number I used and someone always picked up (well I only called twice to ask for the requirements for I-130 but still).
