I don't think any citizen of legal voting age should be disenfranchised, regardless of their politics.

Danno has explained himself - he decided to vote (or not) strategically, hoping that over the next few election cycles his true dream of a solidly right base, much more to the right than the 'traditional' GOP will ascend in the wake of the 2008 GOP loss. Who knows - he may be right. The tea party zealots certainly have a momentum going. Q for you Danno - why didn't you vote for Ron Paul?

I am not advocating that he is disenfranchised, I am suggesting that those who follow this approach of non participation, for whatever reason, are a threat to democracy. They are. He doesn't have to vote for anyone, there are a number of ways in which he can legitimately register his discontent with the choices available to him. Sitting at home pretending that he has no repsonsibilty for what occurs at the ballot is not one of them.

Either you respect Ms Palin because of her views, such as taking a stand against people who use the word 'retarded' as an insult, or you do not. You, apparantly do not. Where your logic falls flat is...... Palin is the LAST Politician who needs to generate press.

At any given time SHe can call a press conference and get all the coverage she wants, it's really quite amazing, Both the Left and the Right..... will tune in (for different reasons of course).

In fact she can post nearly anything on her Facebook page and it is -instant news.

Now it might be true she has a "vested" interest.... it's just laughable to suggest the woman is starved for media attention.
