Don't get me started on the problems with allowing the pharmaceutical industry to run rings around law. Pharmaceutical companies want to make money. In the US they market their drugs, suppressing side effect information and promoting each drug as a cure all. If it doesn't make enough money being used for the problem it was designed to be used for, find another disease and sell it for that, no matter whether it works or not, no matter whether the disease even exists or not. Bah, humbug!

We are talking about two separate issues here. Government regulation should keep them in check, however that does not take away from the huge issue of lawyers litigating at the drop of a hat. The only people who win from that is the lawyer and the plaintiff. Awarding someone millions of dollars does nothing to improve the health care system or its safety.

Since approx ~24% of the country has passports, it's not surprising that anything and everything the government does, is seen as some sort of plot by the government against the people. They have not seen any better, so they believe it when Rush and co say the status quo is the best. Of course it's the best for them, on $120 million to talk ####### for a few hours a day.

There are a hell of a lot of people who live in trailers, yet cheer on Rush and hate big government. The only trailer I ever saw in my life in Aus was someone on vacation. They are so rare that my sister actually took photos of them when she was last here and now uses them to joke on me.

Honestly I really couldnt see a day care center letting toddlers or young kids brush their teeth unsupervised. I dont see anything wrong with the idea. Ive worked at day cares and we use to teach the kids how to wash their hands. Would you prefer if they let the kids hands get filthy all day and wait til they got home to wash them, just like their teeth??? If they ingested soap they could get sick, they could also burn their hands on hot water, etc. But children are not suppose to be left unsupervised at day care centers so Im sure tooth brushing would be 100% supervised. Im also willing to bet the toothpaste would be flouride free as there would be way too much risk involved.

Oh, I believe it. I guess it all depends on how 'seriously' you take that experience. I would take the view that it's ok if you fit that in with a balanced schedule of stimulating and fun events for your baby, but to deliberately sign up to a media circus type situation - pretty strange behaviour - in my opinion.
