Seriously, it is how the Gov't does business.

I have been trying to help someone make a simple change of benefits with OPM Office of Personnel Management for one year... I kid you not.

Sent them the paper work 2 x

have tried to call them dozens and dozens of times, on the rare occasion you can get someone on the phone they say your stuff is in the mail or they give you another number.. which either is busy, no one answers or a machine answers but no one returns your call. Meanwhile you wait and wait for the paper work which never arrives.

This has been going on for a year.

Just so happens I stopped but SEN. Kay Hagans office yesterday to see if they could help... we will see what happens.

People seriously..... is this what you want your healthcare system to look like?

It's not that anyone in the Gov is bad... it's just the nature of Gov't.

I guess bringing the situation to Senator Hagans office day before yesterday got a little traction, it is 8:00 PM and I just got a Call from OPM the Lady wanted information so she could look into it when she gets to work tomorrow.

One of the funny things was, when I filled out this Release form and description of the problem, I offered to give

the contact numbers I had and she said.... "That's ok, we have our own numbers."

They were better today. About 15 minutes. I kept getting passed between the IRA department and the foreign income department though. (I was seeing if I could deduct a foreign pension like I do my 403k...the answer being no....which was what I expected.)
