Apparently you expect the President to have some sort of master control switch to bend everyone to his will. We still live in a democracy/republic last i checked.

Just because someone is against the war in Iraq, doesn't make them anti-war in all cases. The military has its uses, but deployments have a significant cost, but monetarily and to the condition and morale of the troops. Obama was never against using the military when it makes sense.

Closing the prison in Cuba is being held up people who want to keep inmates outside of the US justice system. Obama, can push to get it done, but getting congress to get over the NIMBY fear, from both sides of the aisle, is very difficult. The government is not a company in which the executive can basically dictate what happens.

With Coakly losing, most of that responsibility is on her. She really didn't run any sort of campaign, and just expected to be elected. You can't just take stuff like that for granted.

On health reform, see the part above where the president can't dictate to congress what they are suppose to do. Especially when the minority party doesn't see it as a problem.

How the heck can yo blame the Olympics on that he as basically no control.

I expect better from a President. I will not lower my standards to Obama's level, butmaybe you think it is good.

can we take this in order?

1. The president has both houses of the legislature in his camp with a supermajority in the Senate. No one but his OWN party can stop him from anything. He can't get his OWN party to agree on something they have championed for MORE THAN 50 YEARS!!!!!!!!!

2. The Democrat house passed a suspension on war funding every 3 months when Bush was President, Bush vetoed it and kept the war going. Obama was elected on a promise of ending the war and all attempts to end the war have stopped. He increased troops and has now expanded the war into TWO more countries (more to follow) He could use the same congress to shut down the war tomorrow. HE could shut down the war tomorrow on his own word.

3. Gitmo is a military prison. Obama is the Commander in Chief of the military. he can say "Close it" and it is closed. No one can stop him. The Justice department reports to Obama. The Justice department administers federal prisons in the US. Obama can say "Close Gitmo and send them to Ft. Leavenworth" and it is done. He could do this all by himself on TV tonight and ALL the prisoners could be out of gitmo before midnight today! If the people in Kansas don't like it, it is really none of their say, is it? Unless Obama has NO B@LLS! But then he isn't winning any popularity contests right now is he? Incidently there is a Federal Prison in Illinois that has VOLUNTEERED to take the prisoners and the local community is in favor of it because it would bring JOBS to the area, but that is something else Obama cannot do...create JOBS even when the opportunity is handed to him and people are begging for it!

4. Obama himself said it was NOT Coakley's fault, it was the same backlash that carried him into office. he can't even make good excuses...by YOUR own description

5. Health care? He can IGNORE the minority party, pass it and sign it. Why haven't they? Months ago? Like June? They do not need even ONE Republican vote. The HOUSE could pass the Senate version TODAY and Obama could sign it on TV tonight in front of all of us. He won't.

Quite frankly I don't give a #### about what you think regarding Obama so please do not feel obligated to explain anything because, I simply don't care.. All I wondered was whether you condoned the actions of these particular individuals or not. I guess you do not.

Condone? What does it matter what I personally think about his performance? This country has a democratic system of government and as far as I am aware he gets to do whatever he is mandated to do, or not do during his 4 years in office. I know in the UK you can have a vote of no confidence in a PM and remove him from office if that is a generally accepted mood within elected circles. Does the US have such a measure? If it does, then, agitate for that to take place if that is your opinion.

Then why isn't he doing it????????

Maybe we should elect Hillary the Queen while we are at it. This isn't the UK. We diliberately and with malice of forethought kicked the UK out of our government system in 1781 (and again in 1814 because they didn't get the hint the first time) We do not have a Queen or a prime minister and we do not have recall elections. Unlike Canada that negotiated a polite deal that included having the queen on all their money, we ran a BIG GUN down the King's throat until he gagged and told him to get the ** OUT! I will agree I have no confidence in Obama. I have no interest in agitating for a system we chose to eject forcibly from thios country using what was to become our second amendment rights. We all KNOW where the UK is and how to get there, this is the USA. They are good friends, they are excellent "parents" even, but like a mother to a grown up child, they are better when loved from a long distance.

But I am thrilled people who believe such are on the other team. If I picked the other team myself...I would pick just such people.

NO there is NO WAY to get rid of a lousy Prime Minister in the USA as we DO NOT HAVE a Prime Minister. we DO have an impeachment process for the PRESIDENT (which you do not have in the UK) This has been used TWICE, both times Democrats, but neither were convicted and removed from office. Being the Village Idiot is not grounds for impeachment, one has to do illegal things to be impeached. Obama can continue to fail at everything he tries, can continue to cost other Democrats THEIR election, can continue to pretend he ever intended to do anything rather than play Big man on Campus and he cannot be impeached. We have the option to FIRE HIM in three more years. Until then just being stupid is not enough. We have to grin and bear it and hope he results in a following President like Reagan. We NEED President's like Obama, to remind us why we elected Reagan.

I'll make it simple for the simple, other than in the case of illegal activity, you can't get rid of your elected president for incompetence or because you lack confidence in him, correct? As it stands then, you have no democratic method of working out your anger at this incompetent fool, you'll just have to wait until 2012 and hope everyone agrees with you, or at least a suffient number of people to ensure he doesn't get a second term. The "telling" part of this news story is.... that i'ts a main stream news story.

This same guy had video tape proving that hundreds of millions of dollars were being thrown at ACORN a scam Org. and the News sat on the story for nearly a week.

Now He gets busted asking to look at public property.... phones by fraudulent means and it is TOP PAGE NEWS.

What can be learned from this?
