Hello

I have a question for anyone living in NJ and adjusting status, could anyone recommend a cheaper civil surgeon which you have used in time past. I can't seem to get past the receptionist who apparently do not know anything about transcribing vaccination records into the I-693 they always insist on carrying out a full medical test, my husband just did his in October 09. Please we desperately need help right now. Thanks

Thanks but the cheapest i could find charges $200. I made few phone calls to the CS listed on the USCIS website and one actually gave me a fee of $403 which to me is ridiculous, it seems this is a real money spinner for them right now. The CS in NY has actually jacked up his charges to $250 too which contradicts what everyone else said on this forum so i was wondering maybe i asked the wrong person or i didn't make myself clear enough on the phone. I am still asking for more information from anyone who have used a CS in New Jersey or NY.

It depends on what you need the CS to do. If you, like most of us, went through the medical exam in the home country and just want the transcription you will have to negotiate with the doctor. I used the one from NY less than a month ago. You can contact me privately if you want to know my experience there.

That's what I might do since they are really making me mad, and I know how to get it to the top of the search engines.

There was some movement in the site discussion forum which ended up in the idea that civil surgeon reviews (just facts - transcription, price, maybe a star rating) would be put up similar to embassy and POE reviews, but it's not got a lot of traction. Maybe Ewok doesn't know how interested we are. :)

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

December 23, 2009: NOA1!

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

ROC:

March 1, 2012: Mailed ROC package

I guess not, this is really important to us because USCIS is now using I-693 as a money spinning machine and we need to know which CS actually knows what the process is and how they are rated. Hope he listens and someone starts the thread.
