i read that too....to be honest..i was thinking this is really Fracked up..or..she is a good story teller...

Yeah there is certainly another side to that story.

The thing that I was thinking, is the woman asked, how could this other woman, travel to another country, get on a plane, wander around and get back to the U.S. and now she can't leave her chair.

She said she must have lied about being mobile.

I'm thinking...uhh no, maybe she is now lying about not being able to get out of her chair!

Hubby had an online experience, not as bad as that MENA boyfriend that dumped the wheelchair woman, but something similar. This was when internet dating was fairly new and people weren't posting many pictures of themselves back then.

He was talking to what he thought was a beautiful young woman, flew out to Toronto to meet her, only to discover a 50 lbs heavier greying woman with a limp! Turns out that picture was very...very outdated, lol. He feigned illness and got the heck out of there!

Aww. thanks for some of the nice comments about krikit and I as moderators  . I agree, Trailmix is awesome!

I like reading the K-1 forum, the US Citizenship forum, the General Immigration Forum, the effects of Major Changes forum, the Moving Here and Your New Life in America forum, and the Canada Forum. I do end of reading all of the forums more or less by necessity, but those are those ones I gravitate to for pleasure.

I read the Canada forum... I know, I'm an outsider here.

I find it similar to the UK forum, what can I say...

The OT forum sometimes, when it's not full of inside jokes. I also read the Effects forum (though there are too many "abused, what can I do?"), the K1 forum on occasion (with its many "can I visit him?") and the AOS forum ("what do I put on this form?")

Was in CR-1 a lot, but as a few others have mentioned, really don't care to read about how easy most other countries are relative to Canada for consulate interviews. Plus the people on this forum all seem to be on the same "wavelength". Now its only the Canada forum for me (even though I'm Texan).

Compared to other regional forums, we're so normal. We need some drama here.

I admit, I check out specific regional forums cuz I'm drawn to the drama. Like, do you really think a 21 year old hunky man whom you met on your second day of vacation REALLY loves you? All 200 pounds, 20 more years of you? And your three kids from a previous marriage?

Or do you think an 85 pound, 19 year old girl dreamt her whole life of meeting a 47 year old twice divorced, on unemployment, living with mom pot-bellied man who can't hold a job, owes child support, has a drinking problem to be her honey forever and ever?

When I read those in the Major Changes or regional forums I'm just in awe. I've been blinded by love before but some of these are so ridonkulous yet I can't help reading!

Is it bad to watch stupid people's visa dreams like a train wreck happening?

Guilty pleasures, J&B.

I also liked this part:

People pass interviews because you tell the truth, not because your god made it happen!

Hi Everyone,

Lol...VJ is certainly an addiction! And these are the vj forums I was and am addicted to...

Canada (I am Canadian!)

US Citizenship (That was the last stage of the game that I was in...was here in 2009-2010....am going to leave there soon after the Sept 2009 gang is done...)

Removal of Conditions (That was the stage of the game I was in then....was here in 2008-2009...left after I was done with this long stage....)

And the General Polls, Moving here in America, and other random topics/messages that I feel that I can help others out with too.....

I'm also on PM a lot.......

I tried the OT Baby Corner, but it was hard for me to keep up there with so many people....so I left there.....

But now I'm on the Canada Got Baby/Vous Avez Baby thread instead....(oh and also on vents, and off topic sometimes too)

By the way, here is a suggestion for a new vj forum:

Post-US Citizenship.......(or something like that)

Lol..Surely we VJers whose journey is over need to hang out somewhere too..Kind of like old alumni after graduation, I suppose...

But yeah, now that my journey is over...I still wonder..

"Why am I still here on VJ?"....

Gosh, VJ is addiction!

On that note...Today is my 3rd year VJ anniversary!

Lol..I can't believe I've been here for so long....

Anyways, have fun on vj going through the forums.....Good luck on your journeys too....
