finally done with the AOS interview this morning.it was just a 10mins drive from where we live and our appointment time was 11:10 but we were there as early as 10am smile.gif .at 11am a young man called my son's name and together with my husband he guided us to his office,he asked us to stand up and take an oath.afterwhich he asked for our IDs,i gave him our passports,he started with my son by asking for his original birth certificate and asked questions like if he has problems in school or anywhere my son said no then he turned to me and asked for my original birth certificate and asked the same questions that we answered on the form I-485 like if i was convicted before etc etc...which i dont have, while asking questions he was looking on all the documents that we submitted,he paused on my vaccination supplemental for a while,i thought he will ask for mine and my son's I-693 and our follow up vaccination records here in the US,but he didnt say anything, instead he told us that he didnt see any problem with the docs that we submitted,he also explained to us that they will still review it and if everything's ok they will send us an approval letter and maybe after 2-6wks the green card will come in the mail.Basically,it was a very smooth interview that lasted only for less than 10mins,in fact,we asked him a lot of questions than he did :)

All in all he just asked for our passports and orig birth certificates,he asked for our EAD cards but i told him i will have a job interview soon and that's the only ID i have,so he told me that once we receive our GCs we can always go back in the office and turn it over to him.

Thanks for sharing and congratulations!

I am glad that you had a pleasant experience.

I hope that whether there will be an interview or not, the rest of us will easily make it through the AOS phase.

God bless us all.

cool about keeping the EAD.

Are you planning a celebration feast for 'receive GC' day? If not, you should !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
