Very common and most often cheaper to book a return and skip the second leg. Just make sure you show up to the first flight or the whole flight will be cancelled! If you're feeling charitable to the airline, after the first flight you can call them to cancel the return leg so the seat may be resold.

Awesome. Thanks. I was worried about all the increased security. But your right, as long as you cancel the return flight, should be good.

Some people have been finding cheap one way with Iceland Air. The times didn't match for Dave to come in on an Iceland Air flight and then catch a JetBlue, and he didn't want to hang out on the east coast. Still, for some it might save a couple hundred dollars in comparison to a round trip ticket.

Our VisaJourney started July 2009 when I mailed the 129-F

Fiance here February 2010, married 10 days later

GC received in the mail 10-Jun-2010

Able to apply to remove conditions 12-Feb-2012

BA has direct (and sometimes cheap ) from heathrow to Houston - check orbitz.com for schedules - play with the calendar dates till you hit the right 'socket' for the price.

Manchester to East Coast, is direct flight, but the price is never 'sweet'

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Also when booking your round trip, you can play around with your return dates to find a cheaper ticket. Since the return doesn't matter because you're not going to use it, then pick mid week (or whatever days your airline is cheapest) and a date that's cheap....like not high tourist season or a holiday or Spring Break. It can be months ahead. Seems like Nick's was 7 months from the arrival leg. He did call to cancel it.

I went for a return ticket as it was much cheaper.

Heathrow to Houston direct cost me £373 for a return[will be cancelling the return], for a single it was £700+
