My husband is scheduled on January 19 in Omaha for biometrics. We can't make it that date, and I understand Omaha doesn't allow early walk-ins. If we send in a request for rescheduling tomorrow (January 4), does anyone have any idea how much longer it would be for the new date? What does it depend on? USCIS or the local center??

Thanks very much!!

I'd still try a early walkin. Never know it may be a different guard.

I had to reschedule a biometrics when I was doing my AOS. The biometrics was scheduled for December 29. I received the notification December 20 and we were flying to Houston for the holidays from December 22 to December 31. I took a copy of my flight itinerary and filled out the request for a rescheduled biometrics and hand delivered it to the ASC on December 21st as I didn't trust it to make it in time in the mail. About 5 weeks later I received my new biometrics appointment scheduled for February 6th. This was at the Atlanta office but I suspect the time frames are probably similar. Good luck.

Where my husband did an early walk-in for his biometrics, there was a sign stating that you couldn't come in outside of your appointment time. But the guard had us check with the site supervisor. I explained why we came early & she let us go ahead & do it.

Perhaps you can go when it's convenient for you & ask to speak to a supervisor.
