Hi! What did all of you do when your relative (parents) came here as IR5 visa for their insurance? What did you do when they get sick and they don't have an insurance yet?

You need to sort out the insurance BEFORE they come to the US.

A very significant cost.

Like how much?

Tough question as it all depends on how old, medical conditions, past medical history, where you live, what plan, what it covers... etc... But as a ballpark, for a husband and wife, 40s it could be anywhere from $300 - $600 a month depending on the plan... Medical costs my friend!!!

I would run some numbers with a site that compares plan costs in your area to see..

10/14/2000 - Met Aboard a Cruise ship

06/14/2003 - Married Savona Italy

I-130

03/21/2009 - I-130 Mailed to Chicago lockbox

11-30-09: GOT GREEN CARD in mail!!!!!!

Citizenship Process;

1/11/2013: Mailed N400 to Dallas Texas

3/11/2013: interview.. Approved

4/4/2013. : Oath! Now a U.S. citizen!
